Revolve Automated Motion (or RAM for short) is a versatile motion control system for time-lapse and ultra smooth video. Precise and fully adjustable motorized control of your camera movement will allow you to create a wide variety of stunning footage! The RAM system answers the demand for a truly affordable motion control system.
The RAM Motorized Slider offers a quick and easy tool-free setup. The components are designed for durability, while remaining lightweight and portable.
Controls at your fingertips offer quick and precise camera movements. You can mount the controller at the end of the slider using a Revolve Friction Arm (not included).
The versatility of Revolve Automated Motion is unmatched by any other motion control system. Compatibility with both sliders and the Revolve Dolly give you the widest variety of camera movement options.
Our heavy duty motors have a 20lb weight capacity when moving the camera horizontally, and a 10lb weight capacity when lifting the camera vertically. The slider can be tripod mounted for variable height, and can be angled for dramatic incline moves.
The RAM system is designed to be simple yet effective. The easy to use controller lets you set up each shot in just seconds, and features intuitive and straight-forward controls.
The optional interval timer units controls the camera shutter and the motor simultaneously. The motor will pause at each exposure for your desired interval. Shoot-move-shoot timelapse allows you to capture long exposure (such as astro-timelapse), and long duration timelapse shots (up to 4 days). Be sure to select the proper camera shutter cable before adding to cart, you can view the list here.
The optional reverse switch will automatically switch the direction of movement when the camera reaches each stop. You can place your 'stops' at any point along the slider, creating an auto-looping slider of any length.
There are 2 motor options for the RAM system. The FAST motor is generally used for live action video, while the SLOW motor is used for timelapse.
NOTE: The tripods, ball head, friction arm, and camera shown in various product demo photos are not included. Please see detailed "what's included" photo and list above for reference.
